Social Media Strategist

As a Social Media Strategist, you’ll support our digital marketing department with owned social channels for our healthcare and senior living clients. You’ll work closely with our kind and collaborative team of graphic designers, copywriters, digital marketing specialists, and client service & strategy associates. This includes leading the strategy for executing content that generates engagement from our online audience. This position requires extensive knowledge of organic strategies, social media platforms and analytics. 

This position requires collaboration with the SEO, internal client service & strategy, technical development, analytics, and paid media teams. You’ll be a crucial part of the team to help to drive success of social media platforms and campaigns.

Core responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage social media programs that drive awareness and build credibility for senior living and health care verticals. 
    • Manage the organic social media experience for 10-15 client accounts, while focusing on growing online social communities and increasing web traffic, audience engagement and brand visibility 
    • Create and maintain monthly content calendars, and work with the internal team to develop, coordinate, publish and amplify content that supports marketing objectives 
  • Help the team develop solid content, promotion, engagement, and conversion strategies 
  • Track, report and analyze monthly social media marketing performance, highlighting quick wins, areas of improvement and strategic recommendations for marketing plans 
  • Team first attitude and ability to fluidly work through ambiguity

 

Additional responsibilities: 

  • Assist with “big picture”department  initiatives like workflow and delivery efficiencies, testing new platforms, integrations and vendor, etc.
  • Assist with developing department  training materials and team collateral for onboarding purposes
  • Research, create and distribute POVs regarding department industry trends or updates 

 

Desired qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years of social media marketing experience, agency experience is preferred. 
  • Social media marketing experience required.
  • Strong comfort level helping to build and deliver strategies while managing major social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Pinterest. 
  • Experience managing and scheduling social media content, content promotion, link building and social engagement 
  • Hands on experience with Facebook Ads Manager. 
  • Strong analytical background with experience in Facebook Business Manager, Google Analytics and/or Sprout Social 
  • Knowledge or experience with agile workflow management is a plus.  
  • Experience writing short-format, consumer-focused copy 
  • Proficiency in using social listening tools to engage and monitor social conversations 
  • Ability to identify a potential negative or crisis and apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues 
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Passion in at least one of the following areas, in addition to social media: 
    • Content marketing strategy – blogging and content development to drive social shares, impact search results and increase traffic 
    • User experience/conversion rate optimization as it pertains to increasing inquiries 
  • Self-motivated, excellent communicator, with the ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions 
  • Quick learner who thrives in a creative, collaborative, solutions-oriented environment
