The Creative Director will be responsible for providing leadership to senior living design and copywriting teams, with an emphasis on content conceptualization and cohesion. This individual will demonstrate strong communication, leadership and time-management skills, in addition to an exceptional background in copywriting, with ability to provide direction and oversight on both art design and copywriting. The Creative Director will help ensure all content meets the goals and brand style of clients and communicates effectively to target audiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualizes and leads the creation of relevant and engaging content across a variety of senior living marketing collateral, including direct mailers, flyers, event invitations, signage, emails and digital assets
  • Manages and develops the skills of team members responsible for graphic and production design, brand identity and copywriting for senior living clients
  • Effectively communicates the creative vision to the design and copywriting teams, ensuring a cohesive, impactful message
  • Reviews and approves creative materials prior to client review and provides constructive feedback to contributing team members when changes are necessary
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with clients, demonstrating an understanding of their goals, brand and target audiences
  • Demonstrates expertise in messaging hierarchy, tone and voice, creating solutions for all to work together to deliver an on-brand, on-target message 
  • Creates an engaging culture of creative collaboration that encourages feedback and open communication across teams
  • Manages a high volume of projects and deadlines efficiently, with the ability to quickly transition to new tasks as priorities shift
  • Ensures compliance to all client brand standards
  • Brings new ideas to how the team approaches marketing
 

Additional Qualifications:

  • 15-20+ years’ experience in creative direction and copywriting
  • 10+ years leading a creative team at an agency or in-house
  • Bachelor’s degree in English/literature, creative writing and/or journalism is highly desired
  • Ability to communicate your creative vision and inspire others
  • Expertise leading a group of cross-disciplinary teams
